Photograph the VIN plate through the windshield, or filter by type, powertrain and price.
Check the dealer's quote
Out-the-door total, markups over MSRP, add-ons worth refusing, your state's doc-fee limit, and their rate against yours.
Leases too
Money factor, residual, cash down and the payment worked out the standard way, so a padded payment stands out.
Scan the paperwork
Photograph the quote, lease worksheet or add-on sticker. It's read on your phone and the photo is deleted.
